Venture Insight

Specially tailored for those who like to get off the tourist trail and follow their own trail along the historic Yukon River, travelling over 400kms over the 11 days. Camps are set up each night on the banks of the river, where sightings of black bears are quite common, moose are numerous in the forested foothills and bald eagles nest along the river banks. Special canoeing skills are not required.

Yukon River

As you spend days paddling along the incredible Yukon River, reflect on the history of this unspoiled wilderness that combines wildlife viewing, beautiful mountain scenery and reminders of the gold rush era as you pass abandoned relics left as a reminder of the hardship that the original pioneers had to face.

Dawson City

With its wooden sidewalks and authentic frontier charm, follow in the footsteps of Dawson’s first settlers and head to the Yukon to pan for some gold. Alternatively, try another tradition by tasting a Sourtoe Cocktail, which is an actual dehydrated human toe used to garnish any drink you choose. Best to down it quickly!

Midnight Dome | Dawson

A drive up to the Midnight Dome treats you to an incredible vantage point with a dramatic panorama of the beauty of the Yukon Alpine valleys and the Ogilvie Mountains on the far distant horizon.
