Kibale Forest National Park

Not only chimp tracking, but botanists and butterfly lovers this is a bird lover’s paradise with no less than 375 different recorded bird species. You may even see the elusive forest elephant.

Kyambura Gorge

Enter into this amazing gorge and you will have a Tarzan moment as you are surrounded by verdant, rich tropical rainforest with the tree canopy shutting out much of the sun’s rays.

Chimpanzee tracking

There is no telling where chimpanzees will lead you as their movements are unpredictable – but nothing will beat the feeling when you do come close to these primates in dense vegetation.

Itinerary

day 1

Entebbe

Arrive Entebbe International airport, meet and greet services by your Uganda guide. Transfer to hotel and rest of day at leisure.
day 2

Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park

Drive to Fort Portal in the (a drive of about 5 hs). Kyaninga Lodge is set against a stunning backdrop of Lake Kyaninga and the legendary Mountains of the Moon in the distance. Each of the 8 cottages are built on platforms and set apart to offer fantastic views, privacy and tranquillity. (BLD)
day 3

Kibale Forest National Park

We go chimp tracking in Kibale Forest National Park which has one of the greatest primate densities in the world. Botanists and butterfly lovers will also enjoy the network of shaded forest trails and with no less than 375 different recorded bird species it is a bird lover’s paradise. Afternoon walk in the Bigodi Wetlands. (BLD)
day 4

Kibale Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park

We will drive for about 3 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Evening game drive. (BLD)
day 5

Queen Elizabeth National Park

We will track chimps in Kyambura Gorge - also called the “Valley of Apes”. After lunch at the lodge we will take a boat cruise on the 36km long Kazinga Channel which has the highest concentration of hippo in the world. Evening game drives on the Kasenyi tracks in search of lions. (BLD)
day 6

Queen Elizabeth National Park to Entebbe

Early morning game drive in the park with a bush breakfast. After which drive back to Entebbe at (about 7 hrs) in time to check in for your onward flight out late evening. (B)
