Glide along the Mekong, visit floating markets, learn about the fruit drying process, and enjoy traditional dance performances. Catfish farms, ancient temples, cooking classes, and Khmer crafts are just some of the highlights.

Mekong Delta

Explore the islands of the Mekong Delta weaving through backwater canalsby traditional sampan to the colourful floating markets where row boats are laden with freshly farmed produce.

The capital of Cambodia with glimmering palatial spires, pungent spices, whizzing motorbikes, and the constant chatter of a city that has risen like a phoenix from the ashes of war.

Tonle Lake

Step into another world as you visit the dark hued shimmer of Tonle Sap Lake + its fabled floating villages of drifting wooden houses that offer a rare + fascinating glimpse into local life.

Itinerary

day 1

Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Cai Be

Transfer to My Tho to join your river cruise. Drop anchor midstream just outside of Cai Be for the night.
day 2

Cai Be – Sa Dec – Chau Doc

Start the day with a tai chi class, then take breakfast as you explore the Mekong Delta. Visit Cai Be’s floating market by traditional sampan, then an ancient house surrounded by fruit orchards. Cruise to Sa Dec. Tour Binh Thanh Island + its man-made canals by traditional sampan. Cruise towards the Cambodian border town of Chau Doc.
day 3

Chau Doc Border Crossing

Visit the border town of Chau Doc + see the colourful markets. Tour by local boat to the local floating villages + catfish farms. Back on land, visit a local Cham Muslim community village, before returning boat for the border crossing + the journey onto Phnom Penh with its French colonial charm.
day 4

Phnom Penh

Visit the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda + the National Museum. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Genocide museum + the Killing Fields. This evening, enjoy a traditional Apsara dance performance onboard + BBQ dinner on the sundeck.
day 5

Phnom Penh to Kampong Cham (Mekong)

Set sail before dawn, stopping enroute at Chong Koh silk weaving village. Be transported back 100 years with a visit to rural Angkor Ban village + experience village life first hand. Visit a local school, followed by the 8th century pre-Angkorian temple of Wat Hanchey + Wat Nokor, built within ancient temple ruins. Cruise onwards to Kampong Cham.
day 6

Kampong Cham – Wat Hanchey – Kampong Cham

Stop at Oknha Tey Island, famed for its quality silk products. After lunch a monks’ blessing ceremony will deliver wishes for health and prosperity. Cruise past the confluence of the Mekong + Tonle Rivers towards Kampong Tralach. Anchor near Kampong Chhnang.
day 7

Kampong Cham to Kampong Chhnang

Visit a rural village specialising in Khmer pottery + palm sugar + explore local floating villages + wetlands before entering the Great Tonle Lake, the biggest fresh water lake in Asia. Note: Programme can differ during low water periods.
day 8

Tonle Sap to Siem Reap

Water levels permitting, cross Tonle Sap, Asia’s largest freshwater lake + your cruise comes to a close as you approach Siem Reap. Note: The programme into Siem Reap differs between high + low water periods.
