Dallas

Located at Dealey Placa, within the former Texas School Book Depository building is the Sixty-Floor Museum which chronicles the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Then travel along the route of the presidential motorcade on 22 November 1963, following the timeline of Lee Harvey Oswald.

Fredericksburg

Driving from Austin to San Antonia through the Texas Hill Country, stop at the charming town of Fredericksburg which proudly celebrates its German heritage. Follow the Fredericksburg Wine Road and sample some of the region’s delicious wines.

San Antonio

In the 18th Century, Spanish priests established five Catholic missions along the San Antonia River. These five missions represent the largest concentration of Spanish colonial missions in America and have been named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Dallas Touring

Enjoy a tour of Dallas, a city that offers a unique blend of south western warmth, cosmopolitan flair, old west charm + modern sophistication including a visit to the Sixth-Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. Return to the Stockyards to watch the late afternoon cattle drive.
day 3

Fort Worth to Austin

Beaumont Ranch reflects Texas in the 1880s when cowboys were driving their herds along the Chisolm Trail - where it now stands. Beaumont Ranch offers outdoor adventure activities to guests, + is a working cattle ranch with herds of Longhorn Cattle + horses. Continue to Austin a mecca for foodies.

Austin

Enjoy a tour of Austin before heading to ACL Live at the Moody Theater, the permanent home of the PBS program. Stop for lunch at one of the famous Food Truck parks then continue through Austin’s Hill Country. Visit the Continental Club, a retro Austin vestige opened in 1957 + a mecca for roots, rockabilly, country + swing music.

Austin to San Antonio

Drive through the hill country to San Antonio where tonight enjoy an early evening narrated riverboat cruise.

In the 18th century, Spanish priests established 5 Catholic missions along the San Antonio River + today they are a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit Gruene National Historic District to experience “bona fide Texas” + the oldest dance hall in Texas.
