Tutka Bay Wilderness Lodge, Alaska
Surrounded by the glacier-studded Kenai Mountains, the Tutka Bay Wilderness Lodge boasts a stunning waterfront setting for exploring the rugged wilds of Alaska. Spend your days sea kayaking, hiking through old-growth forests and spotting wild bears and birdlife, then indulge with guided wine tastings, Alaskan cooking classes and a long soak in the deck hot tub.
The lodge is located at the entrance to a spectacular fjord at the southern end of Kachemak Bay, with water taxis making the 20-minute journey from Homer. Direct flights by float plane from Anchorage take around 1.5 hours while the Alaskan wilderness is right outside your front door.
Your Room + Facilities
Each of the lodge’s six cabins come with breathtaking views of the forested mountains and water, together with additional perks like bathtubs and satellite TV. Soak up the sweeping vistas of Little Tutka Bay and Jakolof Peak from the lodge’s solarium, then dine on freshly-caught Alaskan halibut and wild run salmon in the fine-dining restaurant.
