Set on the small, picturesque island of Skeppsholmen in Stockholm, Sweden, this hotel is perfectly placed to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. The island is linked to both Kastellholmen with its red brick castle and traditional dwellings, and to Gamla Stan, the medieval heart of the city. The Royal Institute of Art is a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, as is the 20th century art museum Moderna Museet and the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities. A local bus service transports you into Gamla Stan, or you can walk there in around 20 minutes. A ferry terminal is close to the hotel which can transport you across the water to ABBA the Museum, and Skansen Open Air Museum. If you decide to walk over to Gamla Stan, don’t forget to visit picture-perfect Stortorget, Stockholm’s oldest square surrounded by colourful gabled buildings.
