Fogo Island Inn, Newfoundland
Designed as an ultra-modern interpretation of traditional Newfoundland outport architecture, this striking lodge is an inspiring retreat immersed in the wilds of Fogo Island. Bespoke furnishings combine with renewable energy and eco-initiatives, including an agricultural co-op where produce for the lodge’s gourmet meals are sourced.
Perched atop a jagged rocky outcrop on the north coast of Fogo Island, the lodge lies near the small fishing community of Joe Batt’s Arm. It’s accessed by a combination of vehicle and ferry from the Gander International Airport or charter flights are available direct to the Fogo Island Airstrip.
Your Room + Facilities
Each of the 29 suites is individually designed, with heated wooden floors, custom-made furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows for taking in the breathtaking North Atlantic views. Dine in the ultra-swank restaurant, peruse the contemporary works at the lodge gallery, then enjoy a long soak in one of the wood-fired hot tubs that are positioned on the rooftop.
