Good Morning Hanoi

A 4am start to witness Hanoi waking. Visit the famous wholesale flower market then continue to Long Bien bridge to the huge fruit and vegetable wholesale market – both only seen early morning! Next is the Old Quarter and see street side markets preparing to open then onto Hoan Kiem Lake to witness and maybe even participate in morning tai chi. Finish with a Hanoi breakfast – a bowl of pho and stop at a local coffee shop to be back to your hotel around 8am.

Halong Bay

About 170km from Hanoi, Halong Bay is one of the most magnificent scenic spots in Vietnam and recognised as an UNESCO world natural heritage site in 1994. The picturesque bay has almost 2,000 islets rising from the clear emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Leisurely cruise for 4 hrs  and visit 2 limestone caves with colourful stalagmites and stalactites, an unforgettable experience. A fresh seafood lunch is served on board. Late afternoon drive back to Hanoi.

Hanoi City Tour – Full Day 

Apart from traditional Vietnamese architecture, there’s the French quarter with grand colonial mansions. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, (inside visit AM only, closed on Mon, Fri and entire months Sep–Nov), One-Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature and Ngoc Son Temple on Hoan Kiem Lake. Lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Museum of Ethnology. Last will be Hanoi’s Old Quarter, known as “36 streets – a great place for your Insta feed!

Life On The Tracks – Walking Tour 

Start from Hanoi Railway station  and walk down tracks to Nguyen Thai Hoc Street. Continue to Tran Phu Street and beyond, into the residential areas that lie along the tracks and witness daily life along the railway. After a tea break, move onto Phung Hung Street, where you will see life around and under the tracks, the businesses and activities that spring up. A walk to Long Bien Station takes us into the Old Quarter. Finish the tour by stopping at a local coffee shop.

Vespa Tour – North Of The Red River Discovery

Ride the country roads of the Red river delta, and stop at a local market to choose the freshest ingredients to take to a local family for our lunch. Later visit rice paper and peanut candy workshops. Travel with the locals on a local ferry across the Red river then visit a traditional village making offering furniture. INCLUDES: Classic Vespa scooters, full-face helmet, driver (you ride pillion), English speaking guide, lunch, pick-up and drop-off, raincoat (if needed).

Street Eats + Market Tour   

Meet at the Hanoi Cooking Centre and enjoy a special “La Han” Vietnamese welcome tea. Later have your first tasting – “Pho” (beef or chicken noodle soup). Next stop is Chau Long market then continue by taxi to Hang Ga to sample Hanoi’s most famous dish ‘Banh Cuon’ (rice noodle filled with pork and mushroom). It’s a short walk to Ngo Cho Dong Xuan to try the best Bun Cha stalls in Hanoi, Bun Oc (snail soup) and Banh Tom (prawn cake). Visit a traditional Ha Noi café, established in 1936 – specialties include black sticky rice or green rice with yoghurt.
