With over 300 days of sunshine and described by the Bushman as the “soul of the world”, Namibia gets its name from the Namib Desert, the oldest in the world.

Let’s Venture

MUST-DO NAMIBIA EXPERIENCES

Mark the beginning or end of memorable days with rising or setting suns. Wake early to witness the golden orb rise over the sand dunes of Sossusvlei, painting them in varying shades of apricot to red against a brightening blue sky.

Walk along the rim of Fish River Canyon, the second largest of its kind on the planet, gazing across gigantic ravines viewed at sunset and recommended to be enjoyed with sundowners.

Swap the dunes and travel into Damaraland, one of the last true wildernesses with towering mountains and meandering riverbeds, then stop at Twyfelfontein, one of the world’s largest rock art sites.

Visit a local village of the Himba tribe and experience an authentic introduction into the Ovahimba culture in Kaokoland, where you will also see elephant, black rhino, giraffes and lions living in a desert environment.

And what better way to experience one of the best highlights of Namibia staying in a boutique lodge at Etosha National Park for an abundance of wildlife surrounded by a parched salt desert known as the Etosha Pan.

Enjoy a walk across the white clay pan of Deadvlei in Namibia.
